The Skutt KS818 electric kiln fires to 2,350°F on 208 or 240 volts and features a 2.5" firebrick.
The 8-sided KS818 is equipped with a KilnSitter, a mechanical control that fires your kiln by the time and temperature method of heat treatment using pyrometric cones or bars. After being exposed to the proper time and temperature (heatwork), the cone or bar softens and bends to a predetermined angle, shutting off the kiln. Also included is a limit timer.
